The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is currently co-funding Project Groundwater – a six-year programme to support communities affected by groundwater flooding. In West Berkshire, they have set up pilot communities in Lambourn and the Pang Valley and are asking for residents’ views via a survey: https://www.projectgroundwater.co.uk/index.php?contentid=81
Groundwater flooding is sadly a regular occurrence in West Berkshire due to our geology in the Berkshire Downs. I would encourage anyone living along the Rivers Lambourn and Pang to take a few minutes to complete the survey and help to shape resilience planning. The survey ends on 28 February.
