Laura is launching a campaign across West Berkshire to increase uptake of Pension Credit, a Government support measure that can see the average pensioner receive an additional £3,300 per year.
However, Government estimates suggest a quarter of those eligible have not yet taken the support that they are eligible for. Given the rising cost of living, Laura has launched a campaign to make sure every pensioner in West Berkshire that is eligible for this lifeline receives it.
Posters about Laura's campaign will be circulated across West Berkshire and she has written to churches, community groups, supermarkets and parish councils to ask for their support.

Talking about her campaign, Laura said:
"With cost of living pressures affecting people across West Berkshire – and, in particular older members of the community – I have launched a campaign to increase awareness of Pension Credit, an under-used mechanism that can provide vital support to those that most need it.
"Pensioners are one of the groups who suffer most from rising inflation and I am determined that they should get as much support as possible. With the help of community groups, shops and businesses across West Berkshire, I hope I can achieve this."
