For World Book Day 2024, Laura has launched her annual Short Story Competition with the Hungerford Bookshop.
The theme this year is: "The day I represented West Berkshire in the 2024 Olympics."
Stories can be up to 250 words for Years 1, 2 & 3 and up to 500 words for Years 4, 5 & 6. There will be two winners - one from Years 1, 2 & 3 and one from Years 4, 5 & 6 - and they can expect to receive a special prize!
To enter, please send the short story to laura.farris.mp@parliament.uk, alongside the author's full name, age, the name of their school, their year group, full postal address and an email address for their parent/guardian.
The deadline is midnight on Monday 19th February.
Entrants must be primary school age and either attend a school in the Newbury constituency or live in the constituency.
The winners will be announced on World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.
Good luck!
