Racing is such an important part of Newbury's culture and economy, which is why Laura continues to engage with the racing industry, local trainers and businesses related to the sector. Recently, Laura held one of her regular meetings with the Lambourn Trainers Association, during which she discussed land development, staffing issues and economic pressures. She also visited Oaksey House, which provides specialist rehabilitation services for seriously injured jockeys. And, on the same day, Laura also visited the Valley Equine Hospital in Lambourn.
Finally, Laura also met with Di Arbuthnot from 'Retraining of Racehorses', a brilliant charity that finds new homes for racehorses at the end of their racing careers.
